Living Cemeteries
Cemeteries across Canada are including more sustainable options for burial and cremation. We’re partnering with select sites to give ashes and aquamated remains a green resting place. Ask us about eco-friendly scattering gardens or sites in your area.
Our team is also hard at work planning our own Living Cemetery just 60-minutes north of Greater Toronto in Simcoe County, Ontario. Our full vision includes protected green space, dedicated Family Trees, wildflower scattering areas, and native planting gardens, with spaces to relax, celebrate, and remember.

Where can I scatter ashes in Canada?
Scattering and spreading ashes is legal across Canada on any private property (with permission), as well as protected parks, and crown land.

Celebrations of Life
For the celebration of a lifetime. Plan a one-of-a-kind memorial service, scattering ceremony, or send-offs that combines storytelling, nature, and the science of healing. Our inclusive in-house Celebrants create a comfortable and supportive space to honour your loved one.
WHEN SHOULD A CELEBRATION OF LIFE BE HELD? Today’s Celebrations of Life can happen any time after a death (and sometimes even before). Many families hold a Celebration of Life instead of a funeral in the week after their person has passed. It’s also common to wait some months (or ever years), until the estate is sorted and you feel ready.

PS. What about composting?
Talk of human composting has hit the news stands widely, with laws passing in many US states this past year. Known as “natural organic reduction” or “terramation”, human composting speeds up the process of turning our bodies to organic matter after death.
This practice is not currently permitted in Canada. Our team is partnering on new developments in the UK and US, and will be ready to launch when Canadian legislation opens.
